Guest guest
Hey, this is FASCINATING...thanks for the post, Elyse! I just read a looooong article (called " Parainfluenza Virus-5: A new paradigm and a serious host challenge " ) regarding this find at... http://www.ncf-net.org/library/PIV5HostChallenge-0606.htm .... it was put out by the National CFIDS Foundation, Inc. Medical Committee on May 31, 2006... In this article, some key items of interest to listmembers may that rubulaviruses have also been associated with Chiari malformation, and it also has a quote from Dr. Bell who wrote " Risk Factors Associated with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in a Cluster of Pediatric Cases. " Dr. Bell said... " Highly significant positive associations were observed for the presence of other family members with symptoms of CFS, ingestion of raw milk either recently or in the past, ingestion of raw eggs, and history of allergies or asthma. Exposure to hot air heating, the presence of cats on the property, and appendicitis also had significant positive associations with CFS. The presence of dogs in the house was inversely associated with CFS. " As a result of their study, these authors concluded that, " These data suggest that a combination of host and environmental factors, including an infectious agent or agents, are involved in the etiology of CFS. " Dr. Bell was a key player in one of the books Dr. Goldberg recommended the for the listmembers to read several years ago. Caroline
