Guest guest
Looking into getting a new wheelchair and wondering if anyone has any tips or advice on brands/styles. he currently has a Zippie Quickie GS and I'm not 100% pleased with it. The seatbelts fall behind the chair from the space between the seat and the backrest and I am constantly digging them out. I wish the side supports were adjustable like for coat and non-coat wear, or just growth. I want the bigger wheels as he can push himself short distances and likes to do so. I kind of like the wheels that tilt in a bit as I think it might be easier to roll himself that way. The wheelchair itself doesnt need to tilt and I'd rather it didnt. We've trialed a power chair a few times and he can drive it, but he thinks crashing into walls and such is hysterical, so I dont think he's ready yet. I feel like if I have the equipment guy we use come out, he will only show me the models he wants to sell, not necessarily what would work best for , so I'd like to research it myself before getting him involved. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Sue Mom to Meghan(15) and (10)BFPP, moderate spastic quad CP
