Guest guest
Thank you for your words of encourgement, as we still pray for our son's recovery. We feel confident it might happen because of Dr. G. Not only his medical abilities, but his passion are reassuring during our times of despair. Congratulations on your son's great accomplishments. >From: Marcia Hinds <hindssite@...> >Date: 2007/04/09 Mon AM 09:39:26 CDT > >Subject: Anyone and Stopping Treatment > > > >Dr. G and his the medical treatment are years ahead of his time. The guy who discovered that ulcers were the result of a bacteria and needed antibiotics was also told he was way off base. I think time will prove Dr. G and his theories correct. He has now teamed up with Brain Matters and are in the process of training other doctors and opening centers to help our children. What most medical doctors are just starting to accept is that Autism, ADD, ADHD are the result of a medical condition, an immune system that isn't working properly, Dr G has known this for at least 20 years. > >I predict in the near future that all doctors will treat Autism the way Dr. G does. We were just fortunate enough to find him before his medical treatments became the norm. I don't agree with all that Dr. G says, only most of it. I think those of you who are considering another treatment should reconsider. My son is recovered and just was accepted at USC,Loyola mount, Cal Poly,Santa Clara University,UC Irvine and UCSB. He was given generous scholarships to Santa Clara and Loyola. The only two that didn't accept him are Harvey Mudd and Stanford. None of these schools are aware my son ever had Autism, because he doesn't require any special assistance. If you would have told me this was possible when I first started seeing Dr. G over 14 years ago I wouldn't have believed you. My son was so strange, and so autistic. > >In the beginning, I too worried about all the meds, and the long term effects. But since my son has developed normally, I know that without them that wouldn't have been possible. Our kids are seriously ill, and it takes strong medicine to help them. When Dr G first suggested Celexa for my child, we had a big argument in his office. I said I don't drug my child. He asked me if my child had diabetes would I give him insulin? Also if you see they are not helping your child, you can always stop that medication. You are your child's best advocate. Why do you think Dr. G is so adamant about the constant blood tests? So if one of the meds he prescribes is not right for our children it will show up before any real damage is done. My son still takes these meds and has for 14 years. He has never had an abnormal blood test. Dr. G would never take a risk with our kids. And yes the new meds are finally in our near future. But until then we will continue as we are. >Marcia Hinds > >
Guest guest
Marcia, Thanks for your story! It's so encouraging. How long was your son on the protocol before he was considered " recovered " ? Was he indistinguishable from his peers? Have you stopped the protocol now, or do you stick with all or parts of it? Thanks, Kristy
