Guest guest
I am so sorry about your mom having had to go into a home, but if she can get the care she needs there and truly likes it there than that is for the best. I can understand you missing her company though. My grandmother moved to a retirement type village at one point in her life. She was actually older than the other folks there but was young looking and would never say her age so no one knew. In any case, she said it was the best thing she could have done as there were mini buses to take her to stores and other people around and such. They offered all kinds of activities but she wouldn't go to any of those as my mother had predeceased her and she felt she couldn't enjoy herself with my mother having died young and in a great deal of pain. So, perhaps your mother will also find that living among other older folks and having activities available will be stimulating. I hope that it is a good place and that you can visit her often. In the meantime, take care of yourself. Sandrea
