Guest guest
Printer, definitely. Copier – helpful, but depends on your scanner and your printer – if it (your scanner) can handle insurance cards, drivers licenses, etc and you have a laser printer, then you probably don’t need a copier. It is helpful to have an ‘enlarge image’ feature for those tiny numbers/letters on insurance cards. I had an all in one for a while, but it was slow at scanning sheets of paper. You want to get a fast, reliable scanner – not a slow, persnickety one like I started with. I have a Xerox documate scanner that is great. Don’t remember the model # right now (at home). Agree w LL – get a fax card for your server. Get a peds scale if you want to do peds. Having mom hold the baby and subtract mom’s weight doesn’t give a great impression. A. Guest guest
I hold the babies, then hand them to the mom and weigh myself. I call it 'the time of reckoning'. My baby scale finally died, and I haven't convinced the boss to buy a new fancy one :-) __,_._,__ -- Lynette I Iles MD 214 South Iowa Ste 3 Washington IA 52353 Flexible Family Care'Modern medicine the old-fashioned way' This e-mail and attachments may contain information which is confidential and is only for the named addressee. Guest guest
We bought two used exam tables ($300 each) and had them re-upholstered for $200 each. They look new and work fine. Denny, MD www.barringtonfamilymed.com
Guest guest
Xerox Documate 510 at Office Max about $350, with software that converts to PDF format. Scans 12 pages per minute (really, I timed it). Matt in Western PA RE: Supplies Printer, definitely.
