Guest guest
Hi Doris - I experienced so many autistic symptoms and asperger-type symptoms throughout childhood, especially after mono-encephalitis at age 10 or 11 (more PANDAS prior to that)... my brain did not " reboot " until about age 17, and 18, where I rather abruptly 'woke-up', and really worked at normalizing thru my early 20s. I'm sure I was not as severely affected as many children and likely wouldn't have met more than an asperger dx, but the experience makes me believe that it is never too late. --- Doris and Steve <sjsmith@...> wrote: > Marcia: > You've been with Dr G a long time. Guest guest
Doris, My son in certain way are quite simular to yours. He is well, aware, responsive, even finishing homework is no longer a chore. But he is very helplessly Asperger on behaviors. I am having hard time figure out how to improve this. I am able to change my work schedule this school, and come home a little after he gets home from school. So I was able to spend considerable time with him and help him really make progress, but it just not enough. Now I am planning on getting RDI Books, and CD to work with him myself. , It is very good to read your post. I hope mine will get out what ever mode he is in now before he gets to college. Thanks, Jin > > > Marcia: > > You've been with Dr G a long time.
