Hi Doris -

I experienced so many autistic symptoms and

asperger-type symptoms throughout childhood,

especially after mono-encephalitis at age 10 or 11

(more PANDAS prior to that)... my brain did not

" reboot " until about age 17, and 18, where I rather

abruptly 'woke-up', and really worked at normalizing

thru my early 20s. I'm sure I was not as severely

affected as many children and likely wouldn't have met

more than an asperger dx, but the experience makes me

believe that it is never too late.

Doris,

My son in certain way are quite simular to yours. He is well, aware,

responsive, even finishing homework is no longer a chore. But he is

very helplessly Asperger on behaviors. I am having hard time figure

out how to improve this.

I am able to change my work schedule this school, and come home a

little after he gets home from school. So I was able to spend

considerable time with him and help him really make progress, but it

just not enough. Now I am planning on getting RDI Books, and CD to

work with him myself.

,

It is very good to read your post. I hope mine will get out what ever

mode he is in now before he gets to college.

Thanks,

Jin
