Guest guest
Hi Jo & Vicki; My beginning weight was 300 and I went down to 150. I am back around 170. My diet/vitamin regime has been tuned to my bloodwork. Once it came back with anemia and I got the iron tabs out. Then it came back with calcium deficient and I did the Cal-100 heavy. Now I have been doing two chewables once or twice per day and two Viactive once or twice per day. I would never feel like " blame the patient " . I take full responsiibility. I still take this surgery very seriously as I do my health. That's why I read this board and jump on when I have questions. I am very open to any suggestions. I feel some dumb sometimes when I have overlooked something right in front of me....... I know that I may be starting menopause with year 47 creeping in on me in August and the OBGYN said I was " thinning " . I have had some other weird feelings like: I am warm for the first time since surgery, breasts are VERY tender, head aches, quick trigger, vertigo and stupid memory loss and crashing tiredness. My diet has been very good (had a chocolate war in December and January but I finally won it) My exercise could be better. I am swimming tonight with a massage after. Hopefully I can sleep well tonight. Does this sound like menopause to anyone out there? I see Dr. K next week and I will get all the stats on my bloodwork. Could he see anything about menopause of the bloodwork that he orders? Looking for any and all ideas. Maybe it is just " this too shall pass " . Melodie in Colusa I'm > courious...what has your diet and vitamin regime been like this last > year. Please understand...This is NOT " blame the Patient " ...in fact I > assume that you are doing everything correctly, since you have stayed > healthy for 4 years. > > Hugs > Jo >
Guest guest
Melodie, no, Dr.K doesn't order any reproductive hormones. Your symptoms do sound like they could be related to menopause. It is a process and the symptoms can start 18 months or more before the menses stops. Funny I thought I had some symptoms a while back and now I don't notice anything. Of course, I do not have periods so I have to estimate when I go through the change, anyway. Yes, I know there are blood tests, but that would mean making an appointment and keeping it! lol Marta I have had some other > weird feelings like: > I am warm for the first time since surgery, breasts are VERY tender, > head aches, quick trigger, vertigo and stupid memory loss and crashing > tiredness. > > Does this sound like menopause to anyone out there? > I see Dr. K next week and I will get all the stats on my bloodwork. > Could he see anything about menopause of the bloodwork that he orders?
