Guest guest
Hi everyone! I had my done in the past, BUT this is a week old, my is about 6 months old; I just had this done this past week. About 2 to 2-1/2 months ago I had my appendix rupture and I had to have surgery; then I was put on antibiotics and drugs for several weeks. That was approx. a couple months ago. Could someone give me some insight into these results; I had my Liver function, Kidney Function, Lipid, AND my Blood cell count.... I don't see the doctor for a few weeks; so I don't know what these mean- *WBC- White Blood cell is 'LOW'- Result: 3.5, Range: 4.0-11.0. RBC--(Normal Range) HEMOGLOBIN--(Normal Range) HEMATOCRIT--(Normal Range) MCV--(Normal Range) MCH--(Normal Range) MCHC--(Normal Range) RDW--(Normal Range) PLATELET COUNT--(Normal Range) *SEGS-{I Don't know what 'SEGS' means}- 'LOW' Result: 37.4 Range: 50.0-75.0 [sLIDE REVIEWED] *LYMPHS- This was 'HIGH' Result: 55.9, Range: 20.0-44.0 MONOCYTES--(Normal Range) EOSINOPHILS--(Normal Range) BASOPHILS--(Normal Range) BANDS--(Normal Range) ~*My 'WBC,' 'SEGS,' and 'LYMPHS' are listed as-(Low),-(Low),-(High). I read online that having high 'LYMPH' numbers is usually a sign of a viral infection, or battling a virus? -That seems to make sense seeming that 'Wikipedia.org' listed EBV, CMV, etc... as common viruses, which I tested positive, and HIGH for. -Would this number be elevated because of a distant bacteria infection although I received a lot of adequate antibiotic treatment? The CT scans I had of my abdomen showed there was no infection. Any thoughts??? I want to look into an antiviral real soon; but I'm not sure what is going on here- and don't see a doc. for another 4-5 weeks! -Thanks, . *BTW- WHAT IS 'VIRAL DIE-OFF?' I heard of an understand YEAST DIE-OFF; but is there really VIRAL DIE-OFF, and what does one expect?
