Guest guest
Yeah! It sounds like a good report except for the Free T3 problem. I’m glad you are making progress. It sure does take a while to get that ferritin built up. Kim in No Texas From: Texas_Thyroid_Groups [mailto:Texas_Thyroid_Groups ] On Behalf Of Martha L Lovejoy Sent: Sunday, January 06, 2008 9:58 AM To: Texas_Thyroid_Groups Subject: further update on the Hotze clinic I got the call about the labs Friday (from my 12/20 visit) and a copy was faxed to me immediately. My TSH was .007 and there wasn't a peep! That's the good news. They didn't test my Free T3 (!), so I cannot compare to the test I had done on my own in July, through HealthCheckUSA... but all of the rest of my numbers are going in the directions I want. My ferritin has finally climbed from 38 to 57, so that's on the way to getting better. My serum iron is still near the bottom of the range, so I will be continuing that supplement for at least another year... maybe life. My Vit D (a test they added) was LOW, which surprised me, so I will up my dose of that immediately - she said 2000 IU, twice a day, but I think I'll work my way up to that dose. They agreed that it was still okay to up my Armour 1/2 grain even with that low TSH, based on my complaint of afternoon tiredness, so they are listening to symptoms! WHEW.
