Guest guest
Womens International Pharmacy has the best prices on compounded hormones, even with the $4.50 shipping. You can call them for a price quote. They also carry Armour. Their prices are medium, but they are one of the few pharmacies that carry the factory-sealed bottles of 100 pills. http://www.womensinternational.com/ I don't know about your Austin pharmacies, but in general, Costco usually has the best prices. Walgreens and CVS have the highest prices. mylilsuzyqs wrote: Hi,I am hoping to find the best source for Armour, Cortef and Estriol (compounded) in the Austin area. Guest guest
Sue, I paid $15 for (60) 1 grain Armour at CVS. That was no insurance. Guest guest
huh? lol If you mean where I got my prescriptions, I got them at People's Pharmacy over on 620 & 183. I love that place but their prices are high.....altho they do carry supplements that you normally can get only thru your drs office. Guest guest
I asked my dr about the pharmacy that I wanted to go to but he didn't know about their prices. I should have had him place the order for pills in a larger size and split them. When I need a refill, I'll call him and ask them to call it in for the bigger pills. Well, I should say have him call the prescription to whatever pharmacy that I decide on. I've heard about drugstore.com. I'll add them to my check it out list! Sue The best prices I've found are at drugstore.com where I get Armour for my dog. Armour is in their top-selling drugs! 100 1-grain tablets runs $16.13. They have all sizes, from 15mg to 300mg tabs. Guest guest
Sue, I hate crowds, too. What I do is call in my refills (all automated), and pick them up on Saturday when the store opens. Easy peasy. :)The first time, though, can be frustrating. Hi ,I'll go back and check on the prices of armour. My dr said he wants meon the real armour, not the generic. He even wrote Brand MedicallyNecessary on my prescription. Hey ~ do you work in the pharmacy section at Costco? We never go there (hubby hates crowds) but if I can get medscheaper there,I may be able to get him to change his mind. Maybe I'llleave all of the pharmacy prices laying around and he'll think it's his idea that we go there. <wink>
Guest guest
I'd ask your dr to write Brand Medically Necessary on your prescription. I asked mine to and he said he does that all the time. I don't know if he likes the generic or not and I didn't want to ask since your visit is charged by the minute! lol I let our daughter smell my bottle of armour from peoples pharmacy and she couldn't believe the smell. She also couldn't believe that I dissolved it between my cheek and gum! lol Sue > > Right, I've got that now. I was confused by the question. I don't get my Armour until next month, but I'll be sure to ask for the name brand at the Doctor's office and the pharmacy and I'll check it (and smell it) before I leave. I think I'll go to Costco, but I like the idea of getting a factory sealed bottle Women's Int Pharmacy. I'm going to check at Costco the next time I'm there to see if they have those 100 pill bottles as well... Judy
