Guest guest
Hi Everyone, We've been continuing the protocol through my son's local doctor for a few years now. We had to switch due to financial reasons and Dr. G didn't want to work with this doctor, so we don't have direct access to ask him questions anymore. While my son is doing pretty well overall, I've noticed that recently he seems a bit more cloudy headed and his auditory processing has regressed a little especially in classroom or group situations. Since he's grown significantly and increased his weight by 50% over the past year or so, I've wondered if he needs an increase in Paxil. Our current doc doesn't know alot about SSRIs so I'm thinking about seeking out another local doc with more experience with SSRIs. However, as I understand it, the dosages Dr. G uses tend to be lower than what is usually given. If any of you have a child who takes or has taken Paxil as a part of the protocol and weighs around 90lbs, can you give me an idea of the dosage? I really wish they made a Paxil CR between the 12.5 and 25mg dosages. Gaylen

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone. Guest guest
Hi Gaylen, My son is only 52 lbs, age 7. But at that weight he took 10mg Paxil daily. We upped it to 1 10-mg tablet alternating with 1 1/4 10-mg tablet every other day (10 mg/12.5 mg).
