Guest guest
The two things that have helped me a great deal are drinking 2 to 4 ounces of aloe vera juice and taking "super enzyme caps" (digestive enymes) by twinlabs. All other prescription meds and OTC meds just made me worse. Joni Nexium & other heartburn drugs can cause hip fractures I received this information in a newsletter from Dr Ben Kim. Here is a link to the article: http://drbenkim.com/nexium-heartburn-hip-fractures.html Interesting that I have not seen this information in the mainstream media, maybe I have missed it. But then again the drugs are such money makers for the pharmacy companies maybe we won't see much. Not good news at all! GERD has to be one of my worst symptoms. It is really flaring up right now since I'm do for a dose increase. The GERD might also be causing the flare in my asthma and the hoarseness and irritated throat feeling I am having. I had GERD even when I was very thin. Dr Mercola website recommends eliminating grains and sugar from the diet. Also making sure that your stomach is making enough acid. I guess many of us suffering from GERD are actually not making enough acid and then we add the acid blockers on top of that aggravating the situation even more.
