i know i have asked this before but has anyone elses child been given this same

diagnosis? i just wanna know what other children have experianced. my son is 14

months old this week still not walking but very close he is sayin all the mamas

dadas and babas he should be.i have noticed a bit of a delay about 2 months at

the most in the motor skill area and only 1 seizure from a fever so far. i try

to look up what to expect and it always gives me the most extreme outcome but he

seems to be far from that. i really hate not knowing. he is doing so well im so

proud of him but would like to know what i could possibly expect in the future.

thank u for ur answers.

le,

My son was diagnosed with Unilateral, but I know what you mean. He doesn't fit

the " text book " description either. He hasn't had any seizures, he hasn't had

any delays besides tight muscles in his left hand/arm and he is not walking yet

(15 months old), but he is also close. He talks ALL the time and can say

probably 20 words. The doctors said that usually kids either walk early or talk

early...not both. So even without his condition since he talks more he would

most likely take longer to walk. I have seen it the other way with perfectly

healthy kids that walk early and have delays with talking, so I wouldn't think

too much about the fact that he is not walking. Just keep an eye on the seizures

because with PMG whats done is done and the only thing that can make a child

regress is the seizures that can cause damage and make it hard to fix what is

wrong. At least that is the way I understand it.
