Guest guest
Today is day 3 of starting nizoral and last night and today I've been seeing a marked increase in hyperactivity! I can't remember if that was supposed to be a sign of die off. He's certainly been talking *a lot* but nothing new, just more of it (for which I am still happy!). Last night he wouldn't go to bed until midnight and even then, he stayed up messing around in bed for about 20 minutes before finally settling down. I called and she told me to give him through the weekend to see if he calms down a bit. I'm perfectly okay with this I'm just wondering if it's normal. He's *soooo* busy! It's not out of control hyper, just constant movement on his part. He's running around the house like he's on speed! It's actually kind of funny but I don't want to be laughing if this isn't supposed to be happening. Btw, it is compounded. cheryl
Guest guest
Hi Doris, My heart goes out to you. We have learned our lesson the hard way - no med changes within 10 days of a holiday or family vacation! (We can laugh now, but I stupidly started an antifungal on my son just before a wedding/vacation and it was the trip from he*$ that, among other things, involved my son having severe diarrhea at the wedding and the valet attendents giving another family our rental car keys. What are the odds???) Hope things are better soon. We actually chaged from Diflucan (after over a year on it) back to Nizoral last night, so I'm sure we're " in for it " during the next several days. Did changing to a lactose free version make a difference, or was it just getting through " die off " ? Kristy Nizoral We just spent one of the worse Christmas' with our son .. ever... Probable cause? Nizoral We switched from Diflucan to Nizoral a week before Christmas. Nizoral contains lactose as an active ingredient Now, remember to note this somewhere if your child is sensitive to lactose - Friendly Hills Pharmacy has a lactose-free version available.
