Guest guest
Hi all -- we're going through something puzzling and I'm hoping I can draw on others' experiences. A week ago, Dr. Goldberg had us reduce the amount of Tenex our son is taking. After a day or two of needing extra sleep, he perked way up and is so bright, talkative, funny, empathetic and focused now that we're practically in hog heaven enjoying him! The down side? Last couople of days, he's been much more emotional, much harder on himself than ever if he doesn't do something perfectly right away (leading to a tantrum), and had a *very* unusual aggressive episode when his day wasn't going the way he wanted (he BIT his classroom aide on the cheek!!! No skin was broken, thank God). Last night he was playing a video game and I could hear him crying and yelling out in frustration over not being able to complete a difficult level; I knew that it was mostly because he was hungry. He WOULD NOT come to dinner. I'm talking a screaming tantrum about not coming to dinner UNTIL HE COMPLETED THE LEVEL. Okay. So, does this sound normal for reducing Tenex, and will this pass? He's doing SOOOO well otherwise. TIA, Donna
