Guest guest
Hi, We are getting ready for an SSRI switch, I think. My son (46 lbs age 6) is on 7.5 mg of Prozac a day. This has been a good fit for him over the past 18 months. But Dr G is reluctant to go higher, and a switch is probably coming up. (We just did a 7 day trial of Strattera....it did not work out for him... made him an insomniac.) For those who had good luck with Prozac, what other SSRIs were good " switch to's " ? Has anyone actually decreased the dose and seen good things after being on a higher dose with good results for a long period of time? Is Wellbutrin given with an SSRI or instead of one? Any and all input is much appreciated.
