Guest guest
Thanks for your reply, susie Actually I looked at herbalcom, but perhaps I'm just missing it. I just looked up the botanical name, so I'll look again with that. Guest guest
Thanks, Suzi. Will do that. Maybe an hour or two *after* the grapefruit/orange/lime juice, or maybe do the TN first and then an hour or so later do my citrus juice. One of the things I'm **loving** about living in South Florida for the winter (besides cleaning the pool instead of shoveling snow<G>) is my daily morning fresh citrus juice. It's become a staple. The reason I asked about the grapefruit juice inhibiting absorption is that once I started taking it (with my daily vitamins which are many!) I started getting little weird things happening like my vitamins weren't being absorbed properly....foot cramps at night, easy bruising, etc. Nothing major, just little things out of whack. When you said that about grapefruit juice, a little light bulb went off in my head....I'm going to switch completely to TN instead of all the pills/capsules/gelcaps I regularly take and see what happens, and drink the grapefruit juice separate from the nutritional supplements. Sharyn From: Suzanne [mailto:suziesgoats@...] usually in fresh apple juice, usually once a day in the a.m...a hugh tablespoon... sometimes more when I need energy and don't feel like eating... I also have MSM in mine and most always udo oil.. I stated that Grapefruit juice inhibits a special enzyme in the intestines that is responsible for the natural breakdown and absorption of many medications .. Not sure how it will work with alot of herbs... I most always do not mix my herbs with citrus, with the exception of cayenne and grapeseed extract. No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
I know this was discussed and responded to last week, but could someone give me the details on this? I'll mention again that I have fibromyalgia (with chronic fatigue), restless leg syndrome, chronic insomnia, IBS, Meniere's Disease (mild form at this point). I feel rotten most of the time and HAVE to work in order to have health benefits. My husband was laid off 3 years ago and has recently landed a contract. We are starting to get back on our feet, but contracts don't offer medical insurance. I am ready to do anything to feel better. I am so exhausted that I can barely manage to get to work and home again. I experience nausea most days and have no energy (is that redundant?) I crash right after dinner and might sit in the recliner before going to bed usually around 7 pm. I get up around 4:45 to go to work. I would appreciate any help and/or advise anyone can give me. I print off many of the posts/suggestions to read later in the day. I need the energy to read them and make use of hte information. Thanks so much. I enjoy this group. mary For the Lord God helps Me; therefore have I not been ashamed or confounded. Therefore have I set My face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame. Guest guest
Complete nutrition is a formula (see the organic supplement file and I think the article file) for more information.. It gives you everything you need - you could live off complete nutrition and juices.. Guest guest
, I really feel for you as I have experienced these diseases myself. You must change your diet and exercise every day. It is extremely hard to break this cycle, believe me I know. First thing you need to completely eliminate from your diet is meat. This part is not as hard as it sounds. Remove as many chemically laden foods, personal and household products as you possible can; make it a project. Exercising in a pool is best, as it is very easy on the joints. Find a health club that has one, their fees are usually not that high for the benefits you will receive. Malic acid supplement is a huge benefit to the pain of FMS - this is a concentrated form of magnesium from apples and you'd have to eat a huge amount of apples at first to get what you need so supplementing is best right now. Some people find fatigue relief from a short course of ginseng in the first stage of this program. Getting yourself the powerful nutrition available in a super nutrition formula (Schultz or ) will do wonders (think all natural products with super green foods). Another thing that helped me is deciding that everything in my life would now have a positive spin ;-) This means a great sense of humor and attitude towards everything that happens in your life. Make sure to make time for you, talk to friends and be happy. And no, I didn't do all this overnight and I was extremely poor at the time, which means anybody can do this hehe. Let us know how you are. Guest guest
Don and Suzi, Duh-It never dawned on me to check the files for a recipe. I should have known that. Don, I remember you from another list we were on. I have a 14 yr old with low functioning autism. His diet was great until about a year ago, when he practally stopped eating just about all raw vegetables. I can still get him to drink anything(almost anything), so fresh juices, Perfect food, Super tonic and things like that I can still get down him. I made some saurkraut this week but he wouldn't take the juice, I threw some of the kraut in the juicer and got that down him. I ordered some culture starter for vegetables(like the body ecology diet stuff) and I'm going to try to culture super tonic, beets and anything else I can think of to hopefully get enzymes, probiotics and gut bug killers down him at the same time. Any suggestions are welcome. Ann > > ====================== > Hi Ann, > > I never did get a chance to welcome you to the group. Guest guest
Rik, I agree with you. The cost of nutritional items/foods/supplements are so expensive I cannot afford them either. What I do is get real food and it as much of it raw as possible. Juicing is a good way to get concentrated nutrients for less money than buying specialized items. Even purchsing a product with total nutrition is made by more than one company. You can compare ingredients side by side and find very little difference. I buy a lot of my products from a local place attached to a church. The items there are much cheaper than in traditional health food stores. Otherwise I couldn't afford most of what I get now. I hardly believe that one company makes the "only" viable product. If a company claims to be the best and only - then I would have very strong objections to them mary hello all, i think that buying from good old doc is getting a bit to expensive for me to get the total nutrition ($ 44 retail, 34 clubmembers). are you guys getting this from the healthfood store? we just had an outpost open up here in the neighborhood. i'm going to have to find out where i get these nutritions/herbs in my town, otherwise i can't afford it. hope i'm not sounding too cheap, but i get a weird feeling about prices these days........... thanks, rik For the Lord God helps Me; therefore have I not been ashamed or confounded. Guest guest
I make my own now too, ridiculously cheaper! plus i can add or omit (like omitting the yeast and adding Nopal powder) You can get most of the items on-line Rik. Herbalcom is the least expensive and most of their stuff is wildcrafted. Mountain Rose has most of the rest of the ingredients that Herbalcom does not and the last and most difficult thing to get is the Purple Dulse which you can get at Pacific Botanicals. I think i recal that all of the sites are posted int he resources files, if they are not, shout out and i will post them! SylviaSuzanne <suziesgoats@...> wrote: Hi Rik... been awhile...
