Guest guest
Hi , We went through this for a couple of months with an incident once every one to two weeks. Seems like a short while now, but then it seemed it would never end. Yes, we made him clean it up... in the middle of the night. I told him it was nasty and stinky and that if he wanted to play with something soft, he could ask for play-doh. We also told him that nobody would want to play with him or be his friend if he contined to do that. It may sound mean, but I've always felt that it is better for my son to learn this from me (who loves him no matter what) than from peers. Not sure how well reasoning worked with him, but we definitely made it clear that we were unhappy and made him clean up the mess. I never made any connection as far as foods or medications causing it. I don't know about the sitting in the toilet problem. My guy hates getting wet except the tub or pool. Hang in there. April [sPAM] Re: Potty training- any ideas? Hello- My 3 1/2 year old son has been pooping & smearing it EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!! mostly at nap time or at night. He also likes to sit in the toilet, and gets himself soaking wet. Did any of your kids do this & if so, what helped? I am hoping maybe these are signs that he's getting closer to potty training. It's a little exhausting & we're getting ready to tear up his carpet & put down flooring that will be easier to clean. Thanks- --- Cheryl Lowrance <c.lowrance@...> wrote: > Thanks for all the advice.
