Guest guest
Following on from what Rob said the other day about zinc... I had an interesting visit to the GP last night. I went to see a new GP, my old one, bless him is lovely caring and so understanding but I have tonsillitis and I needed drugs and I couldnt get to see him until the 8th October and that was not good enough. So I went to another GP that I know is also good. He told me that I am vitamin and mineral deficient, I have no half moons on my fingernails, I am lacking in essential fatty acids and gave me a list of things I need to consider taking. As well he is doing a full nutritional diagnosis on me via a questionnaire that is abajillion pages long. I know that banding leads to all sorts of health and nutrition issues, so I guess I just wanted to put it out there that it is something we need to be constant and vigilant about, if we are feeling run down and poorly it is perhaps with good reason. I don't know what I am going to do – I can start with taking what he recommends, but the idea of taking pills is just not enticing or practical. Arrrgh! Who said that banding was the easy way out.
