Guest guest
I go through profuse sweating regularly. I do not know what to do for it. I wish I did. Peace and Joy, Gloria Profuse Sweating Has anyone experienced profuse sweating when they started on the candida diet...I'm guessing it's due to die off. For the past few days I have been perspiring like crazy! Especially on my scalp...it's like I have a fountain under my hair! Just curious if anyone else has experienced this. Guest guest
My Husband had this bad. He would have to lie down it was so bad. Matter of fact it was the one symptom that no one could explain (drs). They all wanted to check his thyroid. It was checked and fine. Here is my theory: since candida can cause hypothyroidism, I think that is what was happening to some extent with hubby. I am glad to hear others had it too. BTW it was the first symptom to leave and the first to come back when he went off the supplements to early. I believe it could definitely be a symptom of die off. Shields cat@... Guest guest
, When I stick to the diet I also perspire so much more...my theory is that it is associated with perhaps being in ketosis and the metabolism working more efficiently... Guest guest
, Hi, Sherrie here, pretty new to the list. Anyway, I don't think perfuse sweating is related to candida only. I have candida, and for a long time, but I don't do a lot of sweating, except maybe when I'm exercising. I have heard on the posts that many people sweat with candida while they are on yeast-fighting diets or taking supplements that fight candida. Just wanted to share that wih you. Peace, Sherrie in DC
Guest guest
Cyndi This is creepy... I also perspire profusely. Is this also connected to candida?
Guest guest
The profuse sweating was definitely a symptom before treatment for hubby. Shields cat@... Guest guest
Profuse sweating is indicating that the organs are overwhelmed with toxins and have thrown toxins back out into the body, causing the body to try to eliminate the toxins through the skin. Doing a detox often can help alleviate this problem. I have this problem and am working on detoxifying my body. Guest guest
Hi Everyone. I just wanted to mention that although prednisone does do some good when it is needed, it does have its side affects and sweating is one even on a small dose. Guest guest
Thanks to everyone who emailed me following my post on profuse sweating. From the replies it would appear that this is a problem shared by quite a few of us. I'm still not sure whether it is caused by the illness or a side effect of the medication. Some people mentioned that prednisone can cause sweating, but I have never taken Prednisone. I am just taking Minocin and Celebrex after stopping Plaquenil because of blurred vision in one eye which is currently being investigated. Thanks again for your replies....here's hoping we don't get a heatwave this summer! Lindy (UK)
Guest guest
Listmates, My little guy has begun sweating profusely... I'm getting a little concerned. He is recovering from a virus which progressed into a bacterial infection (sinus). He has had a very low grade fever (99.8) as well. He started an antibiotic today. Our other variable is that we started him on Diflucan over Christmas break. Could the sweating be die off? Intermittently throughout the day his hair will be soaking wet... this has been going on for about 5 days. I've just never seen a child sweat so much (off and on). Has anyone had a similar experience? Should I be concerned other than making sure he stays hydrated and chasing him around with Chapstick? Guest guest
Hey Caroline - Likely you don't have to worry about it. It is almost certainly related to the illness. It just happened to my 4 yr old 3 nights in a row, and now my husband is doing it... literally drenching the sheets and having to put towels underneath him. The timing and progress of symptoms are identical, and it has been recovering from a second virus. Only if it doesn't pass in a week or two do you need to seek help. And as long as he's emptying his bladder twice a day, no matter how concentrated or minimal, then you don't have to worry about hydration... other than giving him the fluids. You may see his eyes sink in during this... it happened with my youngest... the pediatrician said just enjoy how beautiful they are and don't fret. Other causes can be symptoms of illness, and you can do a search. The most common is like diabetes and endocarditis, and I seriously doubt you have that to worry about considering he has been ill. I'd bet you are having a similar type virus that has triggered this just like it did us. HTH- --- Caroline Glover <sfglover@...> wrote: > Listmates, > > My little guy has begun sweating profusely... Guest guest
, Thanks for the comment.... that makes me feel better. You'd think with 5 kids I would have seen it all, but there's always something new to keep me off balance! It drives me crazy when we're making a change in meds and then something happens (like an illness) that throws a twist in and confuses us as to where it is coming from. Guest guest
lol! On the up side, maybe you'll get lucky like we did - on the other end of the virus, once it was over, my son came out on the brighter end due to a night of virilent fever. Every once in a while, a virus will put us ahead rather than a step behind. It's wierd. --- Caroline Glover <sfglover@...> wrote: > , > > Thanks for the comment.... that makes me feel > better.
