Guest guest
I really like the thought of fewer meds, too. My son, too, wakes up GREAT. I wish I could capture that first hour or two each day in a bottle, so we could keep him on it 24/7. The last few days I have made sure he gets lots of running around outdoors time (easier b/c he's done with school for the summer), and the afternoons have been much more calm around here. I have been reading about exercise and ADD/ADHD - some 'experts' say if those dx'd with it get plenty of exercise they don't need meds. Kristy Re: Re: Impulsivity This is *awesome*! Guest guest
We have never done any antibiotic treatment. We are willing to start trying anything new. We are unfornutately feeling very hopeless because Dr. G has stayed with the same course of treatment for two years and we still have no improvement on our son's OCD or language (he is completely nonverbal). We trust Dr. G's protocol, but still feeling like there is a missing treatment component. Any ideas help, so thank you. >From: meljackmom <meljackmom@...> >Date: 2007/06/19 Tue AM 09:08:46 CDT > >Subject: Re: Impulsivity > >One word comes to mind....antibiotic. Guest guest
I have tons of respect for Dr. G, but I am lots of lists for the spectrum, and there are plenty of kids that don't respond to his protocol. There are lots of other avenues to try, including DAN and homeopathy. That's because there are lots of different causes of 'autism'. Kristy Re: Impulsivity > >One word comes to mind....antibiotic. Guest guest
I'm not Kristy but I have some suggestions... I also belong to a lot of lists. I believe we can't be too cornered into only learning 1 protocol, whether we use them or not. I'm fortunate in that my son has responded very well to but that doesn't mean I don't continue to follow other protocols and keep up on what's going on in other areas. Knowledge is power!
