Kim,

I went through the same thing this last

summer after getting really sick and receiving a steroid shot, antibiotic shot

and also meds. If I remember correctly I went more hypo due to the fact that

certain steroids and other cold medications can affect thyroid hormone absorption.

I use to be able to take Nyquil and Tylenol Severe Cold to relieve cold symptoms

but cannot now because I notice by the second afternoon I am really drained and

relapsing back to feeling hypo.

I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Sinus Problems & Hashimoto's/Hypothyroidism

Hey All,

I'm curious to know if anyone else seems to have a flare up of sinus

problems right before going hypo.

I've been to see Dr. R and have been in the ER twice over the past two

weeks, on steroids, antibiotics, and with the return of my dreaded

flip-flop heart beats, I just KNOW that I've gone really hypo again. I

feel dreadful, like I'm just going to drop dead.

Anyway, the 2 other times I've gone really hypo, it has started with a

major sinus/ear infection.

I see Dr. R in the morning.
