Hello ,

An herbalist is just that, an herbalist. Although he/she can be much

more. A Naturopath knows, or should know, and is capable of applying a

wider range of alternative healing techniques like Homeopathy,

accupressure, herbs, aromatherapy, massage, and any other number of

other modalities. They are also more versed in nutrition and diet and

usually have a more extensive knowledge of causes of dis-ease. Of

course, any herbalist can do this as well if they take the initiative to

study all this. The only difference would then be in the certification.

Elderberries, if they are dark blue to black are then ripe. They are

very good but do not overdo them as they tend to act as a laxative. They

actually are rather tart little berries but sweet at the same time. A

little bit astringent too.
