Although he/she can be much more. A Naturopath knows, or should know, and is capable of applying a wider range of alternative healing techniques like Homeopathy, accupressure, herbs, aromatherapy, massage, and any other number of other modalities. They are also more versed in nutrition and diet and usually have a more extensive knowledge of causes of dis-ease. Of course, any herbalist can do this as well if they take the initiative to study all this. The only difference would then be in the certification. Elderberries, if they are dark blue to black are then ripe. They are very good but do not overdo them as they tend to act as a laxative. They actually are rather tart little berries but sweet at the same time.
