Guest guest
My son has had a rash on his chin and around his mouth for a year now. We've seen countless specialist, and have been told it is either contact dermatitis, excema or a combo of both. He does drool at times but not constant or enough to have any Dr suggest surgery. It gets worse with certain foods but never consistently with anything! We've tried Aquaphor, Elidel and bactraban. (sp?) Just sending this out to hear if anyone else has had this problem and if so, did you ever find a solution. for Josh, 9 Sent from my iPhone Hi Patty, Our son Micah, 3 years old BPP had his submandibular glands and parotid glands tied off this past November. It took about 4-5 weeks to see results and the surgery was a success. He went from 13-15 bibs a day, to 1 wrist band a day. The surgery took a little over an hour and we stayed over night for observation. The first 24 hours were painful but after about 5 days, he was back to normal (eating certain foods would make him sore). He had it done because he was at risk of aspiration because he drooled so much. Best of luck to you. - Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry® Surgery for Drooling Hi everyone, My son might possibly have surgery to eliminate some drooling. Have any of your children/young adults had this procedure done? My son's dentist said that it might help. Let me know what you think.
