And to add to what Marcia said....I can not argue with the numbers

on my son's lab results. 3 years ago his lab work was all over the

place. Today most are back within reference ranges of NORMAL. His

ANA is still high, and some immune panel counts are elevated, but

not as high as they were. For me this is something concrete and

definitive.

myself until a few things happened. One time when we moved, I forgot

to have my son's Valtrex (antiviral) prescription refilled. I

wasn't too concerned because I didn't think it did anything anyway.

Within a week, I saw Autistic behaviors that I hadn't seen for over

three years. I was so frightened that his body wouldn't come back

and I had lost him for good. After getting him back on the Valtrex,

he was himself again within days.

different years after recovery. I made an emergency appointment

with Dr. Goldberg. He immediately knew what was wrong, my son's

Valtrex stopped working. Dr. G switched my kid to Famvir. Within a

few days he got back to normal. Every child has different medical

issues, but for mine the things we have done medically are

essential. And unfortunately until the immune modulators come

along, we need to be on these medications to be " normal. "

All the ABA that we did would not stop this behavior until we took

care of the underlying yeast problem. Then, he was able to learn

what was acceptable and what wasn't.
