Guest guest
For what it is worth I agree with this post. My son tested low for metal issues when I first started on this journey. We did a urine provocation test which showed low for metals. The Dr. we had at the time, that does chelation, did not recommend it for him. Then we found Dr. G. He definitely has viral issues, I believe, because we just tried a trial of Acyclovir, coming off of Famvir, and my son is so far out there I don't even recognize him right now. So I am going to email Dr G and recommend we go back on Famvir. My son went through a research program which had the five-in-one vaccinations when he was a baby (which our pediatrition recommended, which makes me sick to even think about) I guess they did not have thimerasol in these. I don't know anything anymore really. I think it is all a crap shoot for all of us and God bless us all, may we all make the right decision for our children. At this point I would gladly die to have my son well. I'm sure many of you feel the same way. When I go to the DAN lists, they talk about how terrible the Rx's are, when I come here there is talk about how bad vitamins/chelation are/is. I don't think any one person has the answer or there would be thousands of recovered kids. IMO, autism is due to viral and heavy metal issues. While one child's issues might be more weighted to viruses and respond more favorably to antiviral treatments, another child's issue might lie more in the heavy metal burden and respond to chelation. If or chelation worked with every child at every instance I could understand the dogmatic way certain people speak of either treatment. Every protocol has the mantra of " Do no harm " , and DAN. But I have known kids harmed with both protocols, both chelation and the antiviral/anti-immunity treatments, and kids helped by neither, and kids helped by either. Takes a healthy dose of self esteem to allow others to express different opinions and be okay with it. I see little of that on any of the boards. Just my opinion.
