Guest guest
Nicolle, I just wanted to tell you that Marcia gave some great advice on asking your doc about trying Ankinra or remicade instead of waiting for the enbrel to be approved. The wait time now is almost a year, or that was the last I heard. There is no reason to wait and have joint destruction happen when you can take something else that is availble and hopefully stop the destruction in it's tracks. Stills can be very agressive joint wise during the first 3 years. In about 25 percent of all stills patients have the agressive joint destruction occour early on and that is the reason doctors need to treat it more aggressivly with mtx, enbrel, remicade or kineret. Guest guest
Thank you again Marcia for your return to the list. When I first found the list and read your emails. I knew I had to do everything possible to get my son to Dr G. It is a long rough road but we have slow but steady improvement which I am not seeing other places because I believe this is indeed a medical disease and if you don't treat it of course you won't get better.
