Guest guest
: Well, it is only partly . But is pretty restrictive, not saying that in a bad way, just saying that means antiviral and psychotropic meds and a diet. If I am wrong, please correct me. I am also uncomfortable sharing anymore publicly, although, as I stated, the list has been very kind, but the protocol I used in recovering our girl goes beyond , although I think has an important contribution to make and many are starting to listen. I got no less than 6 private emails asking me for information and I don't have the time or the energy to reply individually about the same issues. If those of you can figure out a way for all of us to get together so I won't be needlessly repeating myself, I would be game. Very technophobic here, also very basic computer skills. Re: /was:Re: neuroimmune research , I can only speak for myself but I would like to see the answers to s questions on-list. I am not offended by information. Many times others ask questions that I need answers to also. Thanks for sharing this healthy discussion. Anything that might help our kids and it is related. N. Guest guest
Thanks, , that is helpful. Psychotropic drugs include SSRI's, for one, or anything for brain function or anything a psychiatrist might deal with. Guest guest
Hi , I wanted to make it clear that my son is, while I hesitate to say " recovered " , certainly indistinguishable from his peers. We have not used ANY SSRI's at all. We have used anti virals, anti fungals and ALOT of diet. He is healthier now than he has ever been and the light bulb continues to shine at 100w most days, unless of course he is sick. He is independent, plays hockey, goes to Beavers, plays piano beautifully all without an aide. We also never did ABA/IBI either. Guest guest
Okay, not sure why you would want to make that clear to me, but I have been notified. Best wishes for your child's continued recovery. > > > > : > > > > Well, it is only partly . Guest guest
Hi , My son is just over 7 and we started with Dr. Goldberg just before he turned 4. We have rotated on and off the assorted anti fungal and anti viral drugs with great success, keep him on a VERY tight diet and do BayGam injections every 3 weeks. My sons labs have improved, his IgE has dropped from in the 3000's to as low as 1100. Right now we are seeing some persistent viral activity that has caused his white cell count to decline, his liver function to go up again and his IgE is on the rise again. We are about to go back to Valtrex which in the past was our antiviral of choice so I am hoping we get on top of it ASAP. However this is the first time his health appears to be off, yet we are seeing no " behaviour " at all. He appears better and healthier than ever! We have never tried SSRI's. My son was fairly high functioning when we started although echolailic, quite scripted with poor eye contact, although always cognitively VERY bright. Today he really is indistinguishable from his peers. He is independently involved in team sports,is a loving, patient and very attentive big brother to his two younger siblings, including his infant sister. He gets top grades in his grade 2 class, even though he is the youngest in the grade. Hope this helps. Lori /was: /was:Re: neuroimmune research Lori...just wondering how long on meds, how labs are these days, and how old is your child. I have to wonder if ssri's may have a place, but maybe not long term for everyone. Thanks > > > > : > > > > Well, it is only partly . Guest guest
Elyse and group: I implied nor said nor meant to imply or say no such thing. My posts have been respectful and considerate. I believe your husband's contribution has merit and said so. How do you dare call me names? Your attitude is a good example of people who care more about ego and fame and credit and money than the children. Your comments are shameful! There is reputable science to prove more than your husband's contributions. Think about the children.
