Thank YOU Caroline for this item. What's odd is that I spoke

with a 'spokes-woman' for this area within this last year

and she told me no Autism related studies were planned.

Hmmmmm

Now I KNOW there is at least 2 parents with kids employeed

with NIH. Can either of you comment on this item?

Why the sudden change/shift?

(feel free to email me privately)

I have emailed them about and Dr G's work.

Perhaps with Dr Galpin's connections, they could

make contact ?

I'm also hunting for a direct number to them :-)

or rather a MORE direct number ...

Subject: Re: elevated cytokines

(and all others who might be interested),

I just found this article that I think you will find interesting (they even

mention steroid treatment in Section 12). It is called...

" FAQs: The meaning of neuroinflammatory findings in autism "

Here's the link...

http://www.neuro.jhmi.edu/neuroimmunopath/autism_faqs.htm

It's from s Hopkins but doesn't have any particular person's name on it.

I don't think it directly answers your question on cytokines, and frankly

it's so far over my head I don't even understand half of it, but I think you

might find it a good read.

ah no -

they did email me bad, thanking me for the material

and letting me know my son was too old for their study

(I didn't ask for him to be included)

hmmm perhaps round 2, the video, is in order? :-)

I had a nasty IEP mtg today so being subtle is not

in my vocab today ...
