Hi Connie -

I had taken Zoloft off and on for years. I switched it

with Lexapro when I felt that the Zoloft was no longer

being effective. My Dr. confirmed to me that after

taking any of the drugs of this class that they will

losse effectiveness over time (two years about) and

its important to switch and monitor. Also, I am on my

second month of the Cymbalta (60 mg.) and from time to

time, I too feel the tightness in the chest. Overall

though, I feel the Cymbalta has been the best drug for

me yet. I have terrible arthritis and I need a knee

replacement (but am not willing to do that yet) and I

take Celebrex (200 mg. for long-term management and

from time to time I take Ultram extended release and

Flexeral for the muscles. I really hate having to take

all this garbage, but I hate the Fibro more! Oh am I

have taken Ambien for about 8 years now for the

insomnia. Ambien CR did not work for me, nor did

Lunesta. My insomnia dates back to when I was a small

child, so really that is a problem separate from the

Fibro, although the Fibro exasperates that completely.

All the best to you in finding a caring doc - you

deserve better.
