Guest guest
well yes and no. The idea behind is to calm the immune system down, remove secondary infections and allow the body to heal on its own. Antivirals are used when blood tests show a need. Of course, antivirals used treat only the herpes class viruses. To date, I believe HHV8 is detectable but anything beyond this is 'theorized on' but tests are either not available or too expensive. I've known a numbers of kids who aren't on antivirals using the protocol. SSRIs etal are used to open up the areas of the brain that have been shut down. Reestablish (regulate?) blood flow. When serontonin and dopomine are not regulated, the brain doesn't function the way it should. Think - blood pressure reg. medicine. diet - we use a GFCF diet. More restrictive than what Dr G recommends. We do this because we want to and early tests showed multiple sensitivities. We have been able to add eggs and garlic back into 's diet with no intolerances noted. Spelt too but in small quantities. When an infraction occurs with gluten, we don't have to peel off the ceiling these days. In the future, if things eventually calm down, immune modulating agents will also be added. We had this 'in a way' with Kutapressin. But production of kutapressin was stopped and the new form Nexavir isn't meeting Dr G's standards. But is pretty restrictive, not saying that in a bad way, just saying that means antiviral and psychotropic meds and a diet. If I am wrong, please correct me. I am also uncomfortable sharing anymore publicly, although, as I stated, the list has been very kind, but the protocol I used in recovering our girl goes beyond , although I think has an important contribution to make and many are starting to listen. I got no less than 6 private emails asking me for information and I don't have the time or the energy to reply individually about the same issues. If those of you can figure out a way for all of us to get together so I won't be needlessly repeating myself, I would be game. Very technophobic here, also very basic computer skills.
