Guest guest
Hi All, Well, I got home last night and boy was I glad to see my babies. Greta was beside herself with joy and jumping on me and smiling and twirling around and all so Louie and Cliff had a hard time getting to me. In any case, everyone got some attention and Snuggles came out to greet me. Then I went in to the study and said hi to Maddie and Sienna. I could tell Maddie especially was glad to see me and started purring and all. She is the one least likely to have asked for attention while I was gone. Carmen was asleep when I got home so filled me in and left. I got myself unpacked and found my meds and went to bed fairly soon after getting home as I was exhausted. Nevertheless it took me hours to get to sleep. I am pretty glad to be home and sleeping in my own bed with animals to keep me company. cleaned the house before she left so that is a plus. The cat room stinks and so today I will wash all the bedding the pets sleep on. One of the beds looks like someone had some diarrhea. I don't know when that happened and said she went in everyday to change water and didn't notice a smell. It was so bad I had to open the windows. Evidently there were three storms while I was away so there is lots of snow, but it is clear out today and quite pretty to look at. No rent check was waiting for me so I have a call in to my tenants. I do have a postal slip saying there is a letter from them, so I am hoping I am not hearing them give notice or something. I also had a call from the animal shelter asking if they can adopt a dog, so I don't really think they are moving, but who knows. Fortunately I should have two week's pay checks plus room and board check for January for Carmen waiting to be picked up tomorrow, so I can pay the mortgage on time. The last day I can pay is the 10th without a late fee so hopefully I can get that done. All in all the trip went well. I really enjoyed being part of a family and although I was tense some about how to act and what I could do and such without causing problems, things really went well. I did ask my brother what he thought before I left and he said he thought things had gone well and that I hadn't left stuff to be cleaned up and had offered to help and such. Of course all he referred to were these things that I changed, but I know there was a lot more he was upset about in the past. In any case, Logan and I spent a good bit of time unpacked his room and getting it organized and also playing some together and I really think he enjoyed my being there. When I hugged him goodbye at the airport he didn't want to let go and I had to tell him he had to three times. on the other hand I didn't see all that much. She would sleep half the day and then spend a good amount of time in her room. Moody teenager I guess. I'm not sure she felt comfortable with me, but I don't really know. She gave me a quick hug at the airport. I'll have to ask my brother what she says about my being there. I tried to be with her some but when I offered to play a game or something she would turn me down. But she also wasn't feeling all that well when I was there so that could have been some of it too. In any case, when we said goodbye my brother said he was glad I had come, so I think that was genuine and maybe things are now able to move forward and we can move on and form a better relationship. Guest guest
Sop glad to hear you are back home safely and that your trip turned out better than you thought. Sometimes we worry more about stuff than we really need to. And don't worry so much about how the trip went or how everyone felt about you. You are who you are and they will accept that. Just be yourself. Hope those checks show up like you need them too. Just another worry you don't need. Glad all the pets are doing well. Get some good rest! Huggles!
