Keep an eye on the news on TV....I actually saw the piece on our local

news...they have video footage from the game... and talks with him and

the coach. What a great story!

Thanks, Yes, I seen it, it was so touching ! All these

kids ever need is JUST a chance.

Now ny (my just turned 11yo son)wants to do now is

compete in both ice and in-lines just like Chad

Hedrick.

His first time on ice ever, over X-mas vacation, we

took him speed skating. He came in second place in the

300 meter against older more advanced speed skaters.

The kids asked him how long he speed skated on ice, he

said that it was his first time,,,,, their jaws

dropped. I really think he can pull it off doing both

ice and indoor short track on inlines, at the same

time.

He will train on the Olympic track with the Olympic

coaches in Colorado springs this April outdoors for

about a week on inlines, then summer on the ice

indoors at nearby rinks. To say we are proud of

Autistic kids and ny succeeding and ALL special

kids is an understatement. These kids work hard and

can do it, I am glad that his Coach finally gave him

the oppurtunity to compete, and the peers carrying him

off. He deserved everything he got and wish that

family and that boy the best ! If ANYONE knows this

family please give them a big hug from us !
