Guest guest
One more thing. My sons social skills with peers are just not there. Funny thing is they are with us. Over last summer he picked out a boy he really seemed to like but that has faded. It is just not in him. Makes me so sad. He moves forward in all areas but this. Oh well. Guest guest
Social skills are the hardest and often last thing to come on board. I have heard this from many other parents. Even when other adults could not distinguish our girl from other children, we went through a period in her recovery, when other children could distinguish her from them. Then slowly she made one friend in church. And then I noticed that the kids in preschool were all asking her to play with them and she was " getting " those nonverbal cues from others to join them. And that is a big thing, as others often give us nonverbal invitations that our kids have trouble " seeing " Kind of like a nonverbal learning disorder. Keep going, , you might be surprised, but the social thing is a tough one. Re: Re: One more thing. One more thing. My sons social skills with peers are just not there.
