I rarely give beef bones. If I do, it's rib bones. And she never eats the whole thing. Oh, that's not true....I regularly give oxtail, bone and all. And she gobbles them all up. No problems there. She also gets lamb necks/ribs, pork necks/ribs/feet, rabbit, cornish hen, offal, meat....basically whatever I find in the meat department that strikes my fancy. I just an hour ago made a huge strike at the local Acme -- got beef heart and kidneys, plus cornish hens on sale.

I don't feed her chicken, only because it makes her itch. She doesn't have any problems with the bones, though. (Too bad, too, because the same Acme had chickens on sale buy one, get one free.)

To keep this on topic....although I'm writing here about dogs, we should ALL eat the vast majority of our food raw. It's much better on our systems.

Thanks for putting that line in there. I have some steak bones and wondered if it was safe to give her. uncooked, of course. I guess I will put them out for the fox. She comes around about every other day looking!
