We will be thinking about you and pray for you. I know how scary that is, one time, I gave his daily medicine in the morning, like I always do, I gave him zantac and rynaten (an antihistamine). This was at 8:00 a.m. I then went out shopping! My husband, started his morning feeding, and also gave him his medicine at 9:30. I came home at 11:30, and saw all the syringes and immediately called poison control. Thankfully, because we knew exactly what was given, they could tell us what to do, which was nothing, he would be okay. But.. how awful I felt, I just shook and did I loose it that day! Both me and my husband now communicate VERY well on the "turn over" of our kids. I also had a nurse once misinterpret sp? the dosage of propolsid was to get. It was suppose to be 4 times a day. She thought it said every 4 hours!

Thank you and yes I know where my strength comes from. She's doing better and I'm STILL thanking the man above for that blessing.

Hi Amy, When Kim was about 3, I had moved in with my parents while going through a divorce. She was so little she still fit in a porta crib with plenty of room left. I had put the girls to bed and left my purse on the table next to her crib. Fortunately, I always checked on them often and had gone in to check and saw Kim sitting up foaming at the mouth with a perscription bottle in her hand. It was a pain killer that was perscribed for me after minor surgery. I knew it was almost a full bottle because I had only taken a couple. She must have just started chewing as I was able to swipe alot out of her mouth and because of her tiny throat she was choaking on it. A call to posion control who said she probably had not injested much but to give her epicac and watch for certain signs. Her doctor advised the same. I thought she would never quit throwing up. I felt so guilty as having 4 little ones I was always very careful with any kind of meds. Since then all meds, even over the counter ones, stay locked up. If I had not checked on her when I did god only knows what could have happened. I just remember how terrified I was and the guilt was unbearable. I can't imagine what you went through. Thank god the sitter realized something was seriously wrong and called you. I feel so bad for him. I am so glad things are getting back to normal. You reminded me of a time I had gone to the potty and in those couple of seconds Kim slipped out the sliding glass door. I looked out to see her running, for every thing she was worth, toward the main road of the entrance to my subdivision. I should have entered the olmypics as some how I got to her before she ran out in front of a car. I've always said she has a guardian angel. Of course, I think we all do. Take care. Lydia

Re: overdose prayer

Amy,

You bet I'll include you in my prayers. I am so sorry you both had to go through that. How scary! Went through something similar a few years ago with Kim. I hope Brittney will not have any ill effects from this. Good luck. Lydia

I know I'm a little late in responding but I don't get the chance to check my

mail often.

You all will definitely be in our prayers. I know how awful that must have

been for all of you and God surely was watching out for Brittany. Our

thoughts and prayers are with you.
