I am in total agreement since I have Sjogren's and SLE Lupus in my lungs as well as pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension which has been very quiet but is still there and of course asthma although it is often very hard for me to tell whether my problem stems from the Sjogren's or if it is really asthma. I have used the Albuterol when I would get the chest constriction and sometimes it will work but other times it won't and I find that the only way to release the tightness in my chest is by doing meditative hatha yoga.Sharon from NY where we are about to go into a hotter than we ever had summer, so says our weatherman - sigh. From:"Violet Eudy" Subject:Re: re: breathing questionDate:March 24, 2012 10:30:59 AM EDTTo:asthma I have come to the conclusion that most M.D.'s do not know much about asthma and allergies. I think we all have to be careful and trust our own judgement when it comes to our health. This group has really help me to understand more about asthma.LouSubject: re: breathing questionTo: asthma Date: Saturday, March 24, 2012, 8:44 AM My son got into a bad flare last summer and his symptoms were not typical. His chest hurt, he was dizzy and fatigued and he had a cough that sounded so mild that only a Mom would notice it. He had no wheezing. This went on for almost a week. I took him to his ped and they gave him acid reflux meds and said maybe he had a virus. I had a hunch the ped was misdiagnosing him so I took him to the allergist next day just to be sure. The allergist took one look at him and listened to his chest and said this is an asthma flare. They gave him a neb treatment in the office and he left the office well for the first time in a week. It can be hard to figure out what's going on with asthmatics, guess that's why we need the allergists.
