grumbling...

The trees are in full bloom here in NJ and my asthma is now under poor control again. We've increased my inhaled steroids to the max dose which is keeping me breathing at least, but still going around with that tight, scratchy chest all the time - drives me nuts. My allergist wants me to switch to a LABA (she's worried about osteoporosis) but I'm resisting since the only rescue med I can tolerate is Xopenex due to another medical condition. I will try switching my antihistamine again but doubt it will help much. I hate this asthma! How come none of us improve and in fact seem to get worse? I take my asthma meds, run air filters in my home, use allergy covers on mattress and pillows, take vitamins, cut down on fast food and still no better since the day this all started five years ago. I just don't get it.

I came across a website that you can check the air quality where you live and my town had an terrible rating. And that's just the pollution levels, not to mention the allergens. I'm starting to think the only way I may ever have a chance to improve is too move to a place where the air is at least decent.

On the Dr. Oz show the other day they said this will be the worst allergy season ever on record - ugh!

Thanks for listening. Wishing you all well.
