Hi Jenn, I love the winter, my health always seems to improve in the cold weather. This mild soggy stuff isn't helping me at all, I need a few frosty days to kill off the assorted nasties that attack me most of the year.

In Cornwall we love snow! Don't growl at me Jenn, down here we only get a light covering once every few years. My son didn't see any real Cornish snow until he was in his early twenties! Then it took him 6 hours to complete a 45 min journey, so he's not fond of the stuff now . . .

In truth we have had a bit more over the past 3 years or so, but it's still only around for a day or two, not like the blankets you get up your way. We just get the rain! I had to bail out 60 to 70 gallons of water from my little boat recently, it was sinking . . . into my garden!

Anyway, I hope the cold weather get here soon, it'll be nice to breathe again!

Take care.

Winter is on it's way, Chip - we had our first snow in the Midlands today. Lasted 5 mins, and didn't settle as it was too wet and windy, but it's there!

Still not worked out how the temperature went up 3 degrees, though on my way home as I live an hour further north, and it was getting later!

OK, so it didn't last long! I am down to 2mgs of preds for the first time in years and was eagerly awaiting tomorrow when I could actually stop them. Alas it was not meant to be, over the last week my breathing has deteriorated, my peakflow down to 190 and my wife threatening to hog tie me and drag me kicking and screaming to the local Shaman, or doctor, which she reached first!

So tomorrow I will be back on 30mgs of preds, again! Up to 40mgs if no better after a day or so. If that doesn't work then it'll be time for a vacation in the local pill factory once more! Ahh well!

Personally I blame this prolonged autumn we're having in the UK, mild temperatures and bucket loads of rain! Everything is wet, soggy, mushy and `orrible! Lovely weather for respiratory conditions!

Maybe it's time to emigrate to the North Pole and become one of Santa's lodgers . . .
