Thank you, Madeline, for your comments. Actually, my ARNP did not specifically say that I have asthma. I did have shortness of breath and wheezing, so was prescribed Flovent and albuterol. The flood rescue team that removed our wet carpet told me they doubted that we had a mold problem, just moisture. They said we could buy a mold detection kit at a big box home improvement store but that it would not be accurate. So, maybe I will recover. I am still coughing up a bit of phlegm and have a tickle in my "windpipe."I am only slightly short of breath and wheeze only when breathing deeply and exhaling, in prep for taking the medications. You said not to ignore the asthma and that someone with no symptoms died of asthma. How can we know,

if we have no symptoms, whether or not we are having a flare or are in danger?My acupuncturist is unusually skilled. I seem him monthly for fibromyalgia and no longer have severe pain flares and when there is pain, it is mild and manageable. I don't blindly accept acupuncture for everything. He did not help my back pain, but physical therapy and a new mattress, did.Thanks for any comments as I learn about this malady. Jann
