I found out this past week that my dexa bone scan showed I was now in osteoporosis and I know it's due to me being on Asmanex for over a year. That is one of the listed side affects of it. I use 1 inhale of the 220 mcg of Asmanex morning and night.

I found out this past week that my dexa bone scan showed I was now in osteoporosis and I know it's due to me being on Asmanex for over a year. That is one of the listed side affects of it. I use 1 inhale of the 220 mcg of Asmanex morning and night. I have decided to only do the morning one and stop the evening one thus cutting in half the steroid I'm ingesting. I have the cough variant asthma so I will know soon enough if the 1 puff is working OK. Has anyone else been able to cut down on their asthma meds? I am going to call my doctor tomorrow but I know she will say, " try it and see how things go?"Thanks,Kathy
