No I have not cut down but, I have been thinking about it, I am getting cataracts, and my eye Dr. was very serious the last time I was there, she is thinking that all of the steroids are making them worse. I know that they run in my family, most of my family have had them and have had their eyes done, but, they told me it would be a while before I need to get it done, but, they don't like the rate at which they are developing, I take Symbicort twice a day and spiriva once a day. It does help tremendously, I just have the weezing and chest pain, and constriction, but, lately with all of the sinus problems from the allergies, I have been coughing a lot from the drainage at the back of my throat, so I am going to talk to my Dr. about my meds and see what we can do. I found out this past week that my dexa bone scan showed I was now in osteoporosis and I know it's due to me being on Asmanex for over a year. That is one of the listed side affects of it. I use 1 inhale of the 220 mcg of Asmanex morning and night. I have decided to only do the morning one and stop the evening one thus cutting in half the steroid I'm ingesting. I have the cough variant asthma so I will know soon enough if the 1 puff is working OK. Has anyone else been able to cut down on their asthma meds? I am going to call my doctor tomorrow but I know she will say, " try it and see how things go?"Thanks,Kathy
