Guest guest
ummm email doesn't specifically address the ASD population. I try not to talk with Dr G on JHU :-) The discussion then heads off in directions I'd rather not go ... doris From: " K. Fischer " <elfischer@...> Subject: RE: re: prednisone and JHU Did he say whether they are conducting trial of minocycline on ASD patients? I noticed they were doing some on Parkinson's patients. I had never heard of minocycline before until your post, I wonder what it is about this particular antibiotic that inhibits microglial activation, have you heard what Dr. Goldberg thinks of it? re: prednisone and JHU I let Dr Zimmerman know about the bio that was out there on him re: possible prednisone use. He assures me he is not using prednisone. He did say he used it on a handful of kids, but results were mixed. He's also tried IVIG on about 30 with mixed results. There is also word on the street that NIH is conducting trials of minocycline, an antibiotic that inhibits microglial activation which Vargas etal demonstrated was in brains of autistics doris -land
