ummm email doesn't specifically address the ASD population.

I try not to talk with Dr G on JHU :-)

The discussion then heads off in directions I'd

Did he say whether they are conducting trial of minocycline on ASD

patients? I noticed they were doing some on Parkinson's patients. I

had never heard of minocycline before until your post, I wonder what it

is about this particular antibiotic that inhibits microglial activation,

have you heard what Dr. Goldberg thinks of it?

I let Dr Zimmerman know about the bio that was out there on him re:

possible prednisone

use. He assures me he is not using prednisone. He did say he used it on

a handful of kids,

but results were mixed. He's also tried IVIG on about 30 with mixed

results.

There is also word on the street that NIH is conducting trials of

minocycline,

an antibiotic that inhibits microglial activation which Vargas etal

demonstrated

was in brains of autistics
