MODERATOR NOTE.. SAD NEWS!!! POST

Hi Listmates.. I have deleted a post AND it's inappropiate responses that came

through in middle of night that was entitled Sad News!!!

Either this listmate is truly in trouble.. or more likely the email address has

been hijacked (as Dr. JM's was last week!!) and this email was sent not from

her. It happens a LOT and we have had this happen before on lists over the

years. It is likely if listmate has been member in good standing and always for

years has posted appropiately that this may be a different type " scam " .. one

they had nothing to do with and the post is related to their info being used to

send out inappropiate emails. Before making judgement, it is best to look at

history of the listmate...this listmate in looking back through posts has always

posted appropiately and been helpful to other members... and done so for an

extended period.. not someone who just signed up to spam the list... check

things out before responding is always the best rule. I have had it happen on my

account before and as long as there are unscrupulous and unprincipled people in

this world, it will continue to happen. If these type posts appear, rest assured

I will take care of it but please refrain from striking back at listmate on the

list... 99.9%of the time the listmate IS the victim and honestly it could be any

of us at any time.

Thanks to those of you who realized this is likely not coming from listmate and

for ignoring the post-even if it WAS a scam ignoring it was the appropiate thing

to do.
