No one in my family has asthma, just my great niece, but different people that are older than I am have some breathing problems, but, I don't think they are asthmatic, just symptoms form aging, and their sicknesses. I am the only one besides my great niece that has asthma, she was born with it, and I have adult onset asthma, I have had miserable allergies most of my life, food, and enviornmental, also miserable sinusitus, and sinus infections most of my life, had my tonsils out at age 11, always had miserable colds and pneumonia, and now adult onset asthma, and allergic bronchitis. But I do know that I lived across the street from a steel mill,in my formative years, till I graduated high school, and my father and most everyone around me smoked, a lot, most of my life, then I worked in the steel mill for many years,

so there you have it. But still I am the only one with asthma, other than my great niece. To: asthma Sent: Tuesday, March 6, 2012 9:46 AM Subject: Re: Root canals...

I have and Adult onset Asthma and when I was diagnosed I didn't have root canal, but I have a genetic predisposition in my family and had allergy rhinitis when I was a child... Ishia

For those of you with Adult Onset Asthma, just wondering how many of you have root canaled teeth? I have three root canaled teeth myself. And no, I would never say this could be a cause of asthma. I am convinced that with all asthma the genetic predisposition must be there. But I do wonder about the theory that root canals can challenge the immune system in people with auto-immune conditions.
