I was always made to clean my teeth, and to this date, have only ever had two fillings. And the second was on the same tooth, as the first had chipped, exposing the original cavity meaning it grew. I've not been to the dentist for 7 years now, since I had to start paying (there is a big lack of NHS dentist about, and I can't afford a private dentist), however as I never have toothache I assume my teeth are okay.JennTha can tek t'lass outta Yorkshire...! Don't brand me, don't classify me, don't tell me what to wear. I'll be who I want to be, and

I'm proud to be me.

My son

who is 5 and has been a nebulizer for all his life , has

just gotten 3 root canals and crowns on his baby teeth

within the last three months.

We finally found a good reputable pediatric dentist that

would work on him and not charge us an arm and a leg in

addition to insurance. You need to be very upfront and

have a plan in place in case anything goes wrong.

Re: Root canals...

It's ironic that you're talking

about root canals today because my

husband, who has asthma, is going to

have this procedure this morning. He

never had one before.

I have been concerned about how he

will respond to the treatment

asthma-wise. He used his nebulizer

earlier this morning, and will use his

rescue inhaler just prior to the

procedure.

If anyone has any advice for an

asthmatic preparing for extensive

dental treatment, I like to hear it.
