Sorry, forgot about the multivitamin part, Dr. G prefers you only do

a regular multivitamin, not the mega dose ones.

Thanks, Cheryl. What is the reason that he is against HBOT?

My understanding of his view is that he believes it's incredibly

dangerous given the level of inflammation many of our kids have in

the brain. I *think* that's his reasoning, at least.

No, I think many would agree with you, actually. Unfortunately, this

is a list and in the protocol, not something that would

ever get Dr. G's blessing.

I know for me I want to know why something works and why it doesn't work. If

anyone knows why Dr. G is against HBOT, it would help make more sense to parents

when we hear all the stories about how HBOT has helped children on the spectrum.

I think it is quite normal for us parents to want to try something that we hear

has helped other children. Of course trusting Dr. G is a big factor why I think

we all see him, the only thing is we want to know the rationale behind any

doctor's logic when it comes to our children. So if anyone knows the why, I

would love to hear it... Thanks!

It's been a few years since I remember this topic coming around... but I'll see

if I can explain. (For those wanting concrete/in-depth answers try searching

the archives or on neuroimmunedr.com).

The reason Dr. G is against HBOT is the same reason he is against the

main-stream use of chelation: they are both capable of causing harm and/or death

to children.

If I remember correctly, HBOT cannot pin-point where the oxygen will go and some

children already have too much oxygen in certain areas of their brains (while

others have too little in areas). Getting too much oxygen to these already

over-loaded areas can cause brain damage or worse.

Also, any protocol that is treating a symptom of " autism " will not get his vote.

Dr. G wants to treat the main issue- the immune system- so the children's bodies

can heal properly/safely on their own. (i.e. a healthy body can rid itself of

toxins and the blood flow in the brain will return to normal.)

I'm no scientist, but I hope this helps. :)

I agree, and would like to add that In his DVD presentation, he reminds people

that years ago, Dr's discovered that too much oxygen in premature infants causes

blindness.
