Hi Yes, wasn't last week's weather beautiful? We were very fortunate this entire fall and winter to have such good weather. I normally react badly to very hot or cold temperature and am sorry our beautiful weather has to come to an end. Years ago we used to go walking after dinner but these last 7 or so years the air has been too thick and too hot. We never used to have to pay for electric but that has changed and it is so costly running both a/c's 24/7 but I have no choice ....Sharon in Forest HillsFrom:gigles_1955 Subject: Re: breathing questionDate:March 24, 2012 8:02:53 PM EDTTo:asthma hi Sharon.we live in NYS also...I am not happy about what your weatherman said...last week was in mid to high 70s and that was enough..I already put my dds air conditioner on in her room to help....not her asthma but her skin..when temps and humdity go up her atopic derm gets worse...Im not a lover of the heat either..fun times ahead :( jean> > > Subject: re: breathing question> To: asthma > Date: Saturday, March 24, 2012, 8:44 AM> > > My son got into a bad flare last summer and his symptoms were not typical. His chest hurt, he was dizzy and fatigued and he had a cough that sounded so mild that only a Mom would notice it. He had no wheezing. This went on for almost a week. I took him to his ped and they gave him acid reflux meds and said maybe he had a virus. I had a hunch the ped was misdiagnosing him so I took him to the allergist next day just to be sure. The allergist took one look at him and listened to his chest and said this is an asthma flare. They gave him a neb treatment in the office and he left the office well for the first time in a week. It can be hard to figure out what's going on with asthmatics, guess that's why we need the allergists.>
