Guest guest
In one of our last phone consultations with Dr. Goldberg he said he is starting to test kids for Mycoplasma now when he has a suspicion regarding it... we ended up rechecking our little guy as he has been treated for it in the past. He has always checked his kids for HHV6 (he's been ahead of the game). Guest guest
If there were mycoplasms, wouldn't the antibiotics used to treat pandas be hitting that, also? I thought I remember, Caroline that your son had pandas, as mine does. Guest guest
I don't know if Erythemyecin is strong enough to treat Mycoplasma. Mycoplasma as I understand it is very resistent to common antibiotics. On a site associated with this article, a patient having Mycoplasma linked Asthma went on arythzomyacin (5 day zpaks) for 9 wks, then a 2nd time for 5wks....a one day 1000mg treatment if I read his post correctly. This was under the direction of the physician that is heading up research on Mycoplasma induced diseases such as Asthma, CFS, etc. My son has been doing pandas treatment for 5 years now, and we still have not cleared the strep out of his system. I like this research, as my son had pneumonia 2x, then brochitis 2x, then strep 2x prior to onset of autism. This may be part of the residue that has not been identified that still needs to be cleared from his system. I will ask Dr G about this on our nxt phone conf. cat Barb Katsaros <barbkatsaros@...> wrote: If there were mycoplasms, wouldn't the antibiotics used to treat pandas be hitting that, also?
