Guest guest
We have recently completed a survey of Kindersite users. We have been surprised that 21% of users are using the Kindersite http://www. kindersite.org/ with a variety of Special needs children. As the Kindersite currently has over 11,000 schools and about 5,000 parents, this translates to about 2,300 schools, approx 50 children per school. and 1,000 parents. The main areas are: Autism & Aspergers (across the spectrum) 30% Learning/Cognitive and developmental 28% Deaf & Hard of hearing 7% Down Syndrome 7% ASHD 7% Other (including cerebral Palsy, Vision, TBI etc.) 11% The survey also gained evidence how the Kindersite is being used in Special Needs situations. We will be publishing the survey on the Kindersite soon. We obviously welcome new users, the Kindersite does not require any payment. We do ask users for feedback on the project, though. We use the feedback to update and improve the site/project. Thank you. phson Executive Director Where Children Play and Teachers Learn
